Date Escape
Ah yes, another entirely financially viable idea. Actually, this strip marks the end of my cartooning career as I will now venture off into the restaurant business! (However, check back on Monday for another comic in the off chance that this chain doesn’t take off worldwide over the weekend.)
Brilliant! I love the eyetwitch!
It may have excellent reviews on Yelp, but I feel that Le First Date is way overrated. The appetizers seem really tasty but the main course is generally disappointing, and you rarely get any dessert. Le Third Date, on the other hand, has an excellent oyster bar!
Sorry, was that last one too much?
This would be so awesome!
hey look, nobody died or got hurt! :D
this really is a pretty good idea, until the parachute goes wrong (should make comic about that, haha)
I could have used this place last weekend. We were forty minutes into dinner and conversation before I realized I was being screened to be a babysitter for four kids. /ripcord!
Multitask! Keep the strippers coming, despite wining and dining.
Now the only question is, who gets ejected? Does he get rid of her and sit enjoying his dinner or does he escape her terrible conversation clutches ? :-)
At first glance, I thought the jetpack was a wheelchair, and that this was a Stephen Hawking-spoof. :P
oh ROFL i love it
I think that our Guy With Glasses friend should’ve seen this coming, to be honest. Had he watched her eHarmony video, it could’ve saved him some time and resources: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTTwcCVajAc
Of course, maybe he KNEW the date would bomb and just wanted an excuse to go for a ride!
Congrats, Yacine, 2 posts full of win =)
Love it!
Plates are empty! At least he got to eat!
What if you opened up a restaurant for first dates where you could push a button if you wanted to switch dates, and it would just move you on your chairs? Like, the system would wait till two people had hit the escape button and then it would just move them. Ha ha ha…
Bravo, bravo, bravisimo, es el mejor restaurante que he visto para aplicar la ley del limon
Very good! I much prefer this to toilet humour, I must admit.
way outdated, but I need you to settle an argument for me on whether he ejected her or himself. I think it’s him, but my room mate insists that he’s ejecting her.
@Krey: Oh, I definitely thought he’s ejecting himself. He’s the one kinda strapping himself in and – most importantly – pulling the cord. However, it certainly could make a lot of sense to be able to eject other people, so that’s not a bad idea!
On a kinda personal note, this strip probably came about due to my inherent desire over the years to somehow just “escape” certain situations – mostly work or school, though. Dates, not so much. :)
First one to eject doesnt pay the bill!
