Retro Comic: Stopwatch
Going with another very old comic for today since the one on Monday probably took me twice as long as usual to complete. Anyway, this one’s from early 2007, and the improvement in art when compared to the newer stuff should hopefully be apparent. The jokes however, are just as lame! This one still makes me chuckle for some silly reason, though – so I figured it could potentially be of enjoyment to someone else as well.
He looks fatter than usual in the first panel.
yeah, i wondered about that, too. what could negate the time stopping field for the user?
@danineteen: Hah. I blame my lack of drawing equipment and skills at the time.
@bachterman: Actually this one is sort of inspired by a Donald Duck story by Don Rosa, where the inventor guy (Gyro Gearloose) invents a stopwatch that can control time, but only for everything outside of a certain radius. The stopwatch in this strip doesn’t seem to have that particular ability…
Anyway, I can’t count the times I’ve wanted to have that stopwatch when having to get up far too early for school or work.
There’s also a classic novel named “The Girl, the Gold Watch, And Ev
Everything”. This is by John McDonald, better known for his Travis McGee novels. It got turned into a summer movie or some-such too, but that was heavily bowdlerized.
Ah, I remember that one.
That is a good one.
I actually got this one first time, so it must be good!
hahahaha that was pretty funny xD
… and time stopped forever. Gives me the freaks every time I think about it :S
What actually happens is the stopwatch casts Ice-9.
@kristian finally someone who gets it. why doesnt school start at noon or something?!?
