As Seen on TV
I’m not entirely sure, but I think this is the first Optipess strip with a swearword. Feel free to go through the archives and find another to prove me wrong! Also, this strip makes me hungry.

1st! First! Woohohoho wheee oghogo hooo!
Sorry about that. Just felt like impersonating someone lamer than myself.
Great comic! Poor potato, mashed to…mash. I’m quite looking forward to the spin-of series “Brussel sprouts”.
Hehe… nice one! “Hash Browns” should be a relaxed show to watch, but then again it’s be a total ripoff of “Baked Potatoes”.
On the other hand “lightly sautéed broccoli” was canceled after the first season. Just Not enough pizzaz…
Also, poor kids. Dad must be so poor. All they get for dinner is mashed potatoes – and they have a really shitty TV. :-(
Poor? I’ll bet those are expensive mashed potatoes. TV Licensed stuff always costs more than its worth.
Oh man Rodney King’s mashed potatoes. I would SO buy those.
@Harulth: Hah, oh no, no no. No racism what so ever was intended with this strip. Except maybe between different food crop families.
Also, I’d imagine there are some savings to be had when you get your kids obsessed with eating only mashed potatoes. However, that’s probably cancelled out by their medical bills due to malnutrition.
But if the mashed potato dies on TV, does someone really die? I bet it’s in the back alley of the tv studio right now smoking a cig. Or some bacon… Mmm, mashed potatoes, bacon, chives and sour cream.
Great, now I’m hungry too. NICE JOB KRISTIAN. I hope you’re happy :(
That’s hilarious!
Hooray for (presumably) unintentional reference to one of my favourite web comics The Book of Biff.
@-2!: Ah, what’s the connection to The Book of Biff? I’m a fan of that comic as well, but I haven’t read the entirety of the archives. (He just hit 1000 comics, so that would take a week to plough through!)
Oh wow, I just now noticed what you meant… I replied to your comment from the WordPress dashboard without “re-reading” the strip and I had completely forgotten the “Biff!” usage there. Hah! (I need more coffee.)
Never mind a swear word in the strip, how does the F-word get onto children’s television?
