Banner Hell
Hello and welcome to the internet! I briefly toyed with the idea of introducing all those banners to the site just for today, but I am (fortunately for you) not that cruel. Instead you can imagine pop-ups and slide-downs appearing at every opportunity, all of them obviously promoting my Patreon page! Support me there to give me (and you) warm, fuzzy feelings!
Some of the cookie banners are SO OBNOXIOUSLY LARGE. There’s one site that takes up the whole bottom third of the screen! It keeps coming back! And so many sites have the ‘allow notification’ one every single time you visit.
But there are slivers of hope in this benighted wilderness of terrible website design. I present to you ‘Orc and Gnome’s Mild Adventures’.

You get a tiny goofy looking head in the bottom right of the screen pop up with “Just a head’s up, we use cookies on this site”. It’s adorable. Thank you God, Arielle Campbell and Irshad Karim.
just firefox + no-scripts+adblock
no banners, no ads, no adblocker blockers, no harmful scripts either; you either graciously accept my uninterrupted page view or you accept it anyways
I will never, ever, EVER be interested in allowing a site to find my location automatically. Good grief, that needs to just go away.
Personally, I see any site having adblock-block, I just tier up and open site on no-script …tata I block your scripts AND ads if you dont allow be to block ads :)

The main problem with noscripting is the sites that deliberately use dynamic page loading — often on purpose expressly because it inhibits the function of relying on noscript as a solution to being tracked. For instance, Wikia/Fandom waged open war on adblocking for a while before it finally gave up.
as for those, I shall take my page view to another source then; like many others I believe considering fandom gave up
or use alternative methods (yeah, trying to prevent page view long as its online can be circumvented, sometimes though with too much effort to bother if same info is on alternative source)
Another thing that really annoys me is sites that complain about my adblocker, and then if I turn it off, they still complain about my adblocker. Because what they really want is that I allow random javascript to run on my computer. No thanks.
