Captivating Quote
I personally could use a memorable quote on how to to spell ‘quote’ correctly. I thought it was ‘qoute’ for the longest time, and I have probably misspelled it somewhere in this comic even though it only pops up twice.

Doesn’t “u” always follow “q” (except in abbreviations) in English language?
Good point. I did a quick search on an English word dump on my computer, and out of 102k words there are 412 starting with “qu” and 0 other words starting with “q”. There are about a dozen words starting with a capital “Q” followed by something other than “u”, but those are all proper nouns so they don’t count.
qat is a plant, qoph is a letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Letters of foreign alphabets are considered English words (think “omicron”) and are permitted in Scrabble. Even English letters have English names (“wye”, “aitch” e.g.).
“Khat” (or “qat”) is anglicanised form of the native word: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khat Taking that and “qoph” into account, it is probably more precise to say that “u” always follows “q” in native English words. :-)
