There is a game with this plot of you driving a car around while anomalies “live” around you like wild animals, called Pacific Drive.
I highly recommend it, especially if you liked Subnautica but don’t mind that it plays like a car-based roguelite.
Oh yeah, I picked it up for PS5. And well, I really liked the setting, but I found the survival/crafting mechanics to be pretty annoying. It also didn’t help that the menus on console were terrible to navigate.
I’ve also seen those cocoons from the train, but I guess I was safe in there.
So instead of hilariously shouting “hay!” when I drive by fields of these, I need to start shouting “Eldritch horror!” Got it.
I love these tiny hidden callbacks you sometimes hide in your last panel!
