Dino Intervention
Augh, another crazy “experimental” strip! But don’t worry, the next one will definitely be in a more familiar style. Speaking of which, there will unfortunately be no comic on Monday as I’m going out of town for the holidays — leaving me stuck on a train for most of the weekend. However, depending on when/if I get access to an internet connection, there shall definitely be updates over the next couple weeks, but I’m guessing with a slightly trimmed down schedule. We’ll see!
Nice one..Dinosaus this days? you never can tell.
i don’t… i don’t understand the joke :( someone explain please?
@nancy: in the first frame, the young dinosaur is buying vegetables. In the last frame, the other dinosaurs (his parents and presumably a professional) are throwing away the vegetables while encouraging him to eat a goat — the thought of which makes him nauseous. The idea is that they see his vegetable-eating lifestyle as regrettable, and are staging an intervention to try and get him to mend his ways. Like humans might stage an intervention with a family member who abuses drugs or alcohol.
(I’m not sure why I’ve assumed the dinosaur is male, but I have. Also, writing this joke out in text makes it seem a little dull, whereas actually I laughed aloud when I first read it, Kristian ;-)
@Mo: Wow, that’s indeed a thorough description, and completely spot on as well. And agreed, most jokes (all of mine, certainly!) tend to sound really dull when dissected to that degree. Thanks for putting in the effort!
ha! okay. thanks. :D
Might work better if frame 3 didn’t point out they have the teeth of a carnivore, makes the beginning a bit silly.
