You are right, but it would (IMNSHO) be very fitting there. Whom the cap fits, put it on (or something like that, normally it’s a shoe that has to be fitting)
He’s the same buffon who had to be brought to the hospital ward for homophobia a couple months back (coincidentally the same comic that cancel culture immediately jumped on as being homophobic itself because they couldn’t invest the two or three seconds needed to register the underlying message =)).
