So you mean all that time my teddy bear talked to me and told me he was possessed, he wasn’t it was just me being insane? … unless it was a double bluff!
It wasn’t until I started reading the stuff in the last frame and I noticed the Zippo that the meaning dawned on me. For that alone, I love this. That and it’s a great comic :D
Oh, freck! I didn’t see the last frame! Thought it was an ad xD
Totally ignored it, lol.. So he goes mental and take her stuffed animals and sell on ebay, but only after burning them?
I read it yesterday, but only now I noticed the last frame. I also (like Nosetroll) initially thought it was an add :p
it was still good though, very mystical :p (what did the evil teddy with the red eyes do…..)
@Nosetroll: I think Mr Snuggles only had to threaten to burn them, not actually do it. Emotional blackmail, to get people to buy them quicker, or pay more money. Or just as a fun and/or evil gimmick. Hence the “befo(re it’)s too late” thing.
Yup, Gillsing’s theories are correct. I actually meant to add something more about threatening to burn them in the eBay listing, but decided against it at the last minute. Hmm, maybe I’ll put it back in.
As for the last panel, I completely missed that it could be mistaken for an advertisement when I made it! Would indeed be hilarious if that was an actual banner that popped up due to the content in the comic, hah. Again, not deliberate on my part, but I’m definitely keeping it as a happy accident. :D
here’s how I read it:
first panel, she’s checking for monsters.
second panel. huh, no monsters, good.
third panel, we find that the monsters are inside the bear.
I feel like its two entirely different reads, with and without the last panel, and I do like your original intent, selling the other animals… but the first way I read it was sooo much more funny to me. like the start of a horror movie. the red eyes suddenly there makes me think of the sharp suprise sound they always use in those movies to make you jump.
less is more?
your choice, but either way I love it.
No teddy bear would let you know they’re possessed, it’s one of those things they keep on the down-low.

The only crime Mr. Snuggles committed was caring too much.
Also how do teddy bears spend money?
Do they buy themselves some teddy bears?
What? Too dark?

I read it 4 times and ONLY NOW do I get it, haha. Man, that only happened to me with some classic PBF comics. Great job with this one.

Your mother plays card games in hell!
Hahaha, I like Snuggle’s glaring red eyes ;)
