The comic was a good one
So don’t take the following as a criticism, it’s merely a psychological nitpick or fun fact. These dreams are not really interchangeable in real life. The child one is basically a fear of a boring adult life, completely understandable from a child’s point of view. The adult one however is representing the fear of losing control and the general fear of failure (usually in front of others) That’s why the school test is a popular way to show it in media, extra points if no pants are present :D My recurring nightmare – that’s more of an annoyance at this point – is that I can never drive a car stably in my dreams, and the bonus points is if I fall of a bridge or high place with the car in the process.
I always find it quite interesting. Same topic, two different ways the brain presents it. Although I like the study of dreams in general, how (can) they reflect (on) your current life, but it’s hard to find useful psychologically correct things among the mumbo-jumbo and pseudo-science.
My most frequent dream is traveling abroad and every time something goes wrong. I miss my train, I miss a flight, I forget my luggage, I go to the wrong place, something like that. It never seizes to amaze me just how many variations of this theme my brain has already come up with.
