Interestingly enough, Myth Busters tried to emulate what Microwaveman can do and hooked up like 6 or 7 microwaves together to try and heat a piece of toast outside of a microwave. Without a way for the microwaves to bounce back and forth rapidly, it pretty much just disperses rapidly. So the basically they couldn’t even slightly warm the toast. So Microwaveman must have the power of 10,000 microwaves! D:
Ah, gotta love the Mythbusters. But yeah, Microwaveman’s powers are far beyond anything todays technology can reproduce. His origin story is a tragic one as well: His risky and reckless microwave experiments eventually escalated to that fatal day when he attempted to microwave a microwave oven, with him inside.
You’ll be happy to know he’s now administering his own fast food chain, though!
Also, here’s some kinda useless trivia: The Australian band Because of Ghosts deserves a plug again: The title of their song ‘Heroes are People Too’ amusingly sparked the basic idea for this strip for me.
Wait.. Why they dress up ass crooks, throw around some money so it looks like they have robbed a bank, wait for Microwaveman to show up and what they really have in their bags is tons of stuff to throw at him? For they threw alot.. So they’r just bullies? =<
Hey now, don’t try to make any actual sense of this strip – there’s none of that to be had here. :D But yeah, the bad guys had probably just escaped from prison and immediately jumped back into bank robbing as crooks often do. The eggs, potatoes and plates were most likely just tucked away in the pockets of their pants… or uh, something like that.
No! This was your chance to claim they were part of a gang that’s been twarted by him before, and this was just a setup to take him out.
I mean, come on!

Reminds me of the kid on Heroes…
True about mythbusters. Still this reminds me of green lantern. A cool superhero, but It always cracked me up that anything gold stopped his powers.
hahahaha! DING! haha, nice one buddy! go go go Microwave Man! ;)

D: Did someone say ghosts?! I draw a comic about ghosts. D:
Oh, and the microwaves have to be cosmic microwaves, harvested from the Sun!
