Yeah that is pretty much how I feel about zombies at the moment.
I used to like zombie flicks and computer games with zombies back when it was rare.
Now everything features zombies or zombie analogies and writers/developers have forgotten what the symbolism behind zombies are other than cannon fodder.
Heck the fandom is probably one of the real world equivalent of zombies.
I could watch “Shaun” on an endless loop; “Zombieland,” though, gets a thumbs-up solely on the basis of Murray’s cameo, without which the movie is completely forgettable.
Exactly my thoughts! While I keep discovering new things every time I watch Shaun of the Dead, the only memorable part of Zombieland is the admittedly *fantastic* Murray cameo. And of course Zombieland is the only one getting a sequel, bah.
The best Zombieland is Zombieland Saga.
“Juan of the Dead” is a Cuban spoof of “Shaun of the Dead”.
It’s not nearly as good a movie as Shaun, but it’s still a lot of fun.
